Lifting up WAY overdue regrowth with @wellahair blondorplex lightener. Read below for some tips on what to do in this situation. * dont apply the lightener directly to the scalp. Leave it about 1/2 inch away from the scalp (where the roots SHOULD be) when you initially apply otherwise youll have banding. * use a lighter that does not expand, like blondorplex by wella, this is important because if your lightener expands youll have very little control and this can lead to severe breakage. * dont lift past a level 9. When the roots are this bad its too risky. You can hit it again and lift to a level ten when they come back next time in the proper amount of time (3-5 weeks) *tone with permanent color. Using a permanent color after the liftinng process will give you an additional level or so of lift, so instead of just masking the yellow you’ll actually be lifting it out and get more long term neutralization. *educate your client on why they can never do this to you again 😂 life happens. But it’s important to let your clients know that when they let their hair go for this long it becomes much more difficult and risky to give them an even lift and not cause damage.
