Quad Training: Should You Just Spam Leg Extensions? A fairly simple way to strengthen your quads and get them to grow is to do a whole bunch of leg extensions to failure throughout your week of training. But, only doing machine based movements to grow your quads is a doing your legs a massive disservice. Your quads are also responsible for hip flexion, stability at the knee, and absorbing/producing force from more of a functional perspective. Only doing machine based movements neglects all of those responsibilities and leaves holes in your training. Think about incorporating some of the movements I outlined in this video to make sure you train your legs in a more functional way!
