As a women’s health brand, we’ve navigated the tricky waters of advertising censorship for quite some time. Social platforms have often hindered our efforts to discuss vital topics like PMS, menopause, and vaginal health. We’ve faced countless rejections, with policy emails deeming our content as “adult” or even “pornographic,” simply because it addresses issues related to female anatomy. Fortunately, there have been positive, encouraging shifts in attitudes towards women’s health on platforms like Meta, TikTok, and Snapchat. However, despite pouring our best creative efforts into a spot for National Vagina Day, every major national television network turned us down. The reason? Simply because we used the word “vagina.” Nevertheless, we’re determined to share this important message with you digitally through our valued partners. We hope to rally your support in advocating for a more inclusive world where television isn’t afraid to address health issues that impact half the population. Considering the abundance of commercials promoting topics like erectile dysfunction, ball shaving, and testosterone, we at O Positiv believe it’s time the perspective shifts to focus on the vagina’s point of view 👀
