Costumes inspired by intricate choreography and dynamic formations ⚡ Nicholas Georgiadis designed these striking costumes to accompany the carnivalesque effect of Kenneth MacMillan’s choreography in Danses concertantes – his one-act ballet commissioned by Ninette de Valois for Sadler’s Wells Theatre Ballet. Danses concertantes marked the beginning of MacMillan and Georgiadis’ longstanding partnership. They would go on to collaborate on Romeo and Juliet, Manon and Mayerling. See Danses concertantes alongside two more of MacMillan’s one-act ballets – Requiem and Different Drummer – on our Main Stage from 20 March. 🎫 Book your tickets via the link in our bio. #Ballet #TheRoyalBallet #KennethMacMillan #NicholasGeorgiadis #Choreography #Costume 🎥 Presented by Lizzie Barker, Costume Production Manager at the Royal Opera House
