Oi oiiiii on the old basmati rice cook! Look I used to get this wrong all the time, I used to chuck in so much water that I would need to drain it with a sieve and still be left with this minging gloopy rice. Follow the steps 1 - Wash rice until water runs clear 2 - Put in saucepan 3 - Cover with water, finger nail depth (if you have massive finger nails or real weird short ones then go borrow a mate’s finger) 4 - Mimick a roc cooker - lid on at all times (Bring to boil, reduce to low simmer for 10 mins, turn off heat leave lid on and allow to steam for 10 mins) 5 - Fluff with fork wahoooooo Health and safety says to cool the rice within 2 hours of cooking, best thing to do is spread out on a tray nice and thin wait until there is no more visible steam then chuck in the fridge. When reheating just make sure it’s piping hot, microwave or fry in a pan. Wonderful stuff. #rice #cooking #ricecooker #chef @Nigel Ng (Uncle Roger)
