One of the biggest reasons your offers FAIL: You’re marketing it to cold audiences but using hot audience language. What does that even mean? I'm gonna give you specific examples! It's kind of like the difference between talking to a stranger and talking to your bestie. (then I'll do hot/cold after this analogy) TO YOUR BESTIE: Sooooo you wanna see Barbie movie Friday? TO A STRANGER: Excuse me, do you know where the movie theater is? TO YOUR BESTIE: You should get this top. It'd look cute on you. TO A STRANGER: Hi, I just wanted to tell you that I love your top. TO YOUR BESTIE: What are you doing rn, want to get smoothies? TO A STRANGER: Is there anywhere that makes good smoothies around here? If you said any of the "bestie" lines to a stranger, it would come off creepy and desperate. The same thing is true of hot and cold audiences!!! HOT AUDIENCES: - I just released this content hack pack, it's about to be your favorite bundle this year! - Today's the day!!! My XYZ course is officially ready for you to jump in! - I know you've been waiting - the Sarah Jane top is on the site! - First 100 to jump in get a surprise bonus! Using this verbiage in your TikTok videos and general social media content does NOT usually go well (unless you run them as ads to your warm audiences as retargeting for your offer). With cold audiences, you need to MOVE THEM to a place where you can nurture them until they're warmer, warmer, warmer, HOT! Cold Audience Platforms: TikTok Twitter Threads LinkedIn Instagram Facebook Page Slightly Less Cold Platforms: YouTube (if you're doing conversion masterclasses) Podcast (SOMETIMES) Blog Facebook Profile (depending on how you use it) Facebook Groups (if nurtured well) Warm - Hot Platforms: Email List (if nurtured well) Text Message Lists (I don't love these, but they work) Your warm audiences for retargeting ads INSTEAD of using hot audience verbiage with cold audiences, warm them up through your marketing ecosystem.
