Beef Pepper Rice Ingredients Sauce(Culinary Frank) * 1 tbsp neutral oil * 4 cloves garlic(minced) * 1 inch knob ginger(minced) * 1 tbsp sake * 1 tbsp mirin * 2 tbsp sugar/honey * 2 tbsp soy sauce * 2 tbsp oyster sauce Preparation * 2 tbsp neutral oil * 1/2 onion sliced * 2 cups cooked short-grain rice * 1 lbs thinly sliced beef * 1 cup shimeji mushrooms * 1/3 cup canned corn * scallions(sliced) * 1 tbsp butter * Sauce(use 1/4 cup at a time) * Black pepper Instructions Sauce 1. Heat oil in a pan on medium low heat and sautÃĐ garlic and ginger until fragrant(2 minutes). 2. Add sake, mirin, and sugar and simmer until the sugar is dissolved. 3. Add soy sauce and oyster sauce and simmer until slightly thickened(5 minutes), then set it aside. Preparation 1. Heat oil on a cast iron pan on medium heat and sautÃĐ onions until lightly caramelized. 2. Move onions to the middle and place a mound of rice on top. Place thinly sliced beef and mushrooms around the rice. 3. Add corn, scallions, butter, a drizzle of the sauce, and black pepper on top of the rice. Pour in 1/3 of the sauce and add more to taste. 4.
