π¦ THE TUB SPOUT π¦ Replacing your tub spout might be easy, or it might be a huge headache. But no matter what, you can do this! Your first step will be finding out what kind of tub spout connector you have. On the underside of the spout, you'll see an opening. If you see a set screw in the opening, you have a slip-fit type. If you don't, it's a threaded connector. When shopping for a new spout, remember these 2 things... 1) it should be either "universal" which means it can be used on slip-fit or threaded set ups OR have the same connector as your current spout 2) if your old spout has a diverter (the pull tab on the top that diverts water to the shower head) then replace it with a new diverter spout Stay tuned for a video on troubleshooting tub spout issues like what to do if the pipe is too long, too short, or too wiggly... there are so many situations you can run into, it deserves its own video π€ͺ. #homeimprovement #bathroom #tub #tubspout #howto #upgrade #houseprojects #househelp #homeowner #diy #tipsandtricks #repair #replace #shower #tubspoutdiverter #diverter #bath #bathtub #homemaintenance #homeremodel #bathroomremodel
