Replying to @💞Izzy💞 Hydrogen peroxide acts as a mild bleaching agent that can correct the color of a stain on clothes by breaking down the color-causing molecules in the stain. Here's how it works: Oxidation Process: Hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) releases oxygen when it comes into contact with organic materials, like stains. This oxygen reacts with the chromophores (the part of the molecule responsible for color) in the stain, breaking their chemical bonds and altering the structure of the molecule so that it no longer reflects light in the same way. This results in the stain's color fading or being removed entirely. Bleaching Effect: The breakdown of the chromophores often leads to the stain becoming colorless, as the molecules either lose their color or are broken down into smaller, colorless components. This is particularly effective on stains caused by organic materials such as wine, coffee, and blood. Safety for Fabrics: While hydrogen peroxide is a bleach, it is generally milder than chlorine bleach, making it safer for use on a wider range of fabrics without causing significant damage or discoloration to the fabric itself. However, it's still advisable to test it on a small, inconspicuous area first, especially on colored fabrics. In summary, hydrogen peroxide corrects the color of a stain by chemically altering or breaking down the color molecules in the stain, effectively reducing or eliminating the visible stain on the fabric. #stain #stains #stainremoval #hydrogenperoxide #STEM #science #explained #cleaning #cleaningtips #laundrytips #howtoremovestains
00:29I SPELLED DISSOLVING WRONG 🥺🥺🥺 Persil recently released their new laundry pack packaging, it dissolves 3.4X faster than their old pod! Those times are in minutes by the way, not hours. This is not meant to recreate a washing machine environment, only to measure how quickly a pack dissolves in cold water. #science #experiment #satisfying #persil #laundrydetergent #laundry #laundrypod
00:25This is a new GE oven that has a removable tray at the bottom of the oven to make spillovers extremely easy to clean. Just pop it out and throw it in the dishwasher and you’re done. Kind of shocked this hasn’t been invented until this year especially considering that toaster crumb trays have existed for ages! What do you think? #oven #ovencleaning #cleaning #clean #ge #geoven #geappliances #invention
00:12This is a semi automated high pressure press that us dry cleaners use when we need a little extra horsepower. It’s a very helpful piece of equipment compared to some of the other stuff out there. What other things do you wanna see that us dry cleaners do? #drycleaning #dryclean #behindthescenes #explained #laundry #pressing #ironinghacks
00:15Replying to @TJ You should know that when it comes to laundry, cold water isn’t that cold. Cold water is 30 C / 85 F, warm water is 40 C / 104 F and hot water is 50 C / 122 F. It’s important to keep this in mind as ‘cold’ water does a great job cleaning your clothing and has a ton of benefits like preventing premature colors from fading and allowing your clothes to last longer. Plus you can save a lot of money on energy and be more sustainable when doing laundry 😊 its earth month so lets show some love to our favorite planet !!! #earth #earthmonth #sustainability #laundry #laundrytips #sustainablecleaning #cleaning #clean #cleaningtips #laundryhacks #coldwaterwashing
01:08This is Tide evo, the biggest innovation in laundry in the last decade. #Tidepartner Tide spent 14 years developing this product in secret and now I finally get to share this invention with you as a member of the #LaundryLeague ! Tide evo is detergent spun into tens of thousands of minuscule fibers which provides unbelievable cleaning results without added water or unnecessary filler. Plus it’s housed in cardboard packaging to reduce plastic waste. #TideEvo
00:42April fools!!! Sorry everyone, here is some advice for each of these stains: 1) Sharpie - honestly not much you can do. Amodex claims to remove sharpie but never worked during my testing. I’d recommend giving anything with permanent marker to a dry cleaner 2) Blood - rinse and then treat with hydrogen peroxide and/or enzymatic stain removers. If color remains soak in hot water and oxygen bleach or spray with HP and let it air dry. Make sure you get to it sooner than later! 3) Oil w/ curry - rub in some laundry detergent or dish soap with a touch of water and let it sit for 15 minutes before washing. If color remains soak in hot water and oxygen bleach to sort out the turmeric issue. My grandpa Lou passed away a few years ago and this was his favorite dry cleaning joke. That and “Don’t worry,I know a good dry cleaner”. Thought it was fitting as today was his wedding anniversary and a day for trolling. #aprilfools #laundry #itsajoke #satire #humor #funny #cleaning
00:27This is the Tide evo tile dissolving in cold water. It is a new form of laundry detergent that will be available in Colorado beginning in April with expanding nationwide availability later this year. What do you think? What questions do you have about it? #laundry #laundrydetergent #satisfying #tide #tidetile #detergent #thefuture #innovation #STEM #science #experiment
00:13This is how a 4th generation dry cleaner cleans a $5,500 Ralph Lauren purple label stained from a brief stint in the rain. Because it’s fur lined with a suede shell I’m going to have to do this entirely by hand. The good news is that fixing water damage on suede is pretty easy, here’s how to do it and what you need: 1) Grab a suede stone, lint brush and/or a light bristle brush. Very gently, rub the rain stained areas in different directions. Don’t go too hard as you will remove some of the suede which is not fixable! 2) Once I finished that, I wiped down the fur lining with dry cleaning solvent. 3) Then I depilled the cuffs and waistband. 4) Lastly I brushed out the fleece shearling collar to make it softer and look new again. Quite a few steps, just needed some time and came out well 😊 #ralphlauren #ralphlaurenpurplelabel #suedejacket #cleaning #laundry #fashion #expensiveclothes #handclean #handwashing #dryclean #luxury #luxurydrycleaner
